Known by many names, agarwood, aloeswood, eaglewood, oud, gaharu, this fragrant resinous wood has been traded for over 2,000 years and was once called the Wood of the Gods. This batch is 3A Grade, sourced from Cambodia's hot, humid Central Plains and South, the conditions agarwood trees need to thrive.
Character
Sweet-balsamic, with shades of vanilla, musk, and amber, sharing some characteristics with Chinese Hainan Oudh. Develops into a gentle, musky base note as it burns.

About These Chips
Agarwood has been burned as part of meditation and prayer since the Vedas, some of the oldest religious texts, dated to around 1400 BCE. Sold here as 12g, one tola in the traditional measurement, packed in a handcrafted teak box.
